About the Author:
Nuchie Schapiro grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, at the heart of the Chabad-Lubavitch community. He studied at Oholei Torah and Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim / Rabbinical College of America, where he earned degrees in Judaic and Rabbinic Studies and received semicha. He later pursued studies at UCLA, conducted research at USC, and began doctoral studies in clinical psychology.
He is the founder and CEO of Centered Health, a behavioral healthcare organization serving Southern California, and is actively involved in Jewish communal life.
Drawing on years of research, archival discoveries, and firsthand testimony, Legacy of Resilience reflects his passion for preserving Jewish history with accuracy, warmth, and authenticity.
Nuchie lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Chavie, and their six children. In his spare time, he enjoys learning Torah, listening to Jewish music, smoking meats, watching Seinfeld, and savoring a cup of freshly ground coffee
