With great sadness we inform you of the passing of

Mrs. Bracha Levertov, OBM
Mother of Rabbi Berel Levertov
Mrs. Levertov was born in the Bronx in 1934 to Ahron and Esther Muskal.
In 1954, she married her husband, Rabbi Moshe Levertov and established a welcoming home of Chesed. She always put others first, minimizing her own needs to cater to others.
Together with her late husband Rabbi Moshe, she helped run the Ezras Achim organization, helping thousands of Jews in the former Soviet Union.
The chief director of the women's Mikvah and beloved attendant for many years, Mrs. Levertov was known for her easygoing personality and willingness to accommodate every woman she served.
Known as "Bubby" to many beyond her immediate family, Mrs. Levertov will be fondly remembered for her warm smile, bubbly personality, and positive perspective on life.
She merited to live life to its fullest and raise a dynamic family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, leaders in Jewish communities around the world.
The Santa Fe Jewish community has been blessed by Bubby's many visits. We will fondly remember her engaging stories, paintings of biblical stories, and the sheer nachas she experienced with every visit.
Her memory lives on in the good deeds and inspiration to those around her.
The funeral was held Monday, Oct. 28 at 2:30 PM in Brooklyn.
Shiva was observed at 688 Lefferts Ave, in Brooklyn, NY 11225.
